Become a catalyst for social change today.
Addressing the social determinants of heath (SDOH) to achieve heath equity is now the focus of national and international organizations around the globe. Efforts are steadily increasing to fill the gaps in our understanding of the impact of social and structural determinants of health on individuals, communities, and populations. The NLN and Walden University College of Nursing Institute for Social Determinants of Health and Social Change develops leaders who: 1) who understand deeply the complex inextricably linked connections and challenges to advancing health equity, 2) possess the leadership competencies to integrate social and structural determinants of health into programs and curricula, and 3) engage in research and other scholarly activities with broad dissemination.
